Pretty in Pink

Just wanted to share this baby shower card I made yesterday, for a special someone who is expecting a baby girl.  I'm all about babies, since my last post.  :)  Anyway, this was a simple and easy card to make.  I started with plain white card stock for the base.  Then, I ran pink card stock through my Cuttlebug machine, using Cuttlebug's Swiss Dot embossing folder.   I used one of The Paper Studio's lace punches, to add detail to the bottom of the pink paper.  Papertrey's new Christmas Label die was used, to die cut some My Mind's Eye paper.  Cute little charms and buttons, and a little pink gel pen outline were added to the die cut.  A Making Memories transparency tag with a pink/white gingham stripe, was affixed with a white brad.  The finishing touch was just glue dotting some pink/white Scrapworks alphadotz.

I'm just a beginner card maker, but I'm having so much fun!  Have a wonderful day!

  1. Doesn't look like the work of "just a beginner" to me, Maureen! Beautiful card--your friend will treasure it!

Oh, your sweet comment brought tears to my eyes, dear friend...thank-you for your sweet kindness. And yes--I really think my redhead looks like her great-grandma LaPriel, who also had reddish hair...not as red as Sarah's though!

Hope your day is absolutely wonderful...

  2. Such a cute card, you are very talented. I think we should have had a vintage baby picture to go along with it.

  3. I loved it when you said how "easy" it was to make that adorable card. There was a time..long ago..that I would have loved to make something like that..but no longer.
But them. I KNOW that sounds lazy, and it IS! But..I guess beginning the Winter of my life, I am all into appreciating the abilities of others.
Now..I want to thank you for becoming a follower, from the bottom of my heart. My blog is wanting..but it's folks like you that give me confidence.
    Hugs..and lots of them!
